Stitches

Caroline had stitches Monday night.
Frankly, I am impressed that we made it through 8 years as
parents without having one of our kids stitched up before now.

She was a trooper. She never got scared or cried at all!

I am not suprised that Caroline is the one who needed stitches.
She plays more rough than the rest of our kids.
Yet, I think anyone learning to use a pogo stick could get this kind of cut.
Hopefully it will heal up pretty well.

The Instacare Dr. loved her because she was so calm!
I was just grateful that Chad was home so that he could take her.
Caroline was happy about the large shake that she got afterwards.

So I showed Madison the pictures of the carnage. The first thing out of her mouth..."DID IT GET ON THE DRESS?!". I'm sure she hopes Caroline is okay, too....
Miss Caroline is a trooper for being calm during stitches in the chin.
That's where I got my inaugural stitches when I was about 6 years old. I fit my head in between the bars at the hippo exhibit at Hogle Zoo; I slipped and my head didn't fit the same way coming out as it did when I slipped it IN. I still fondly remember that day.
This will be a great memory for Miss C and I'm thrilled that she has pictures to document the occasion. :)
